Don't Vote.

This isn't wedding related, but I have something to tell you:

Don't vote. I dare you.

Also, don't read my blog. Open a new tab, and instead of spending 5 minutes reading our blog, spend 5 minutes telling people not to vote. I challenge you. Send this to five friends, and dare them not to vote.

Because really, the future of our country isn't all that important. Wedding planning will obviously have a greater affect on health care, on Darfur, on nuclear weaponry, on education, on the economy.

Again, I triple dog dare you. In California, you have until October 20th to tell people what a bad idea it is. Don't vote.

But...

If by some wild reason you think voting is a good idea, you will want to check out this link asap. Because not all states have a deadline of October 20th. Some are earlier. The link makes it pretty darn easy to register, so maybe you shouldn't listen to me after all. By typing in your address, they give you addresses, phone numbers, deadlines, and helpful websites.

Gosh, that makes it sound so simple!

So maybe you should vote. But only if you care about melting ice caps, about the quality of K-12 education, about the Iraqi War, about genocide in Darfur, about the stock market crash and it's effect on the local economies, about gas prices, about nuclear proliferation, about equity, about maintaining the right to choose. Those things might not be that important... but maybe, just maybe you care a little bit.

So actually... vote. Register today. You have one chance to make a difference.
