Cookie Madness

We had the hardest time thinking of a creative way to ask the groomsmen and ushers! Let's be honest, boys would not be as appreciative as girls are of a cute package filled with rhinestone studded shirts and flip flops. We tossed around a ton of ideas, but nothing ever seemed right... until we thought of COOKIES!

Everyone likes cookies, right? So we set off on a Saturday afternoon to make a 5x batch of Tollhouse Chocolate Chip Cookies!

We might have been crazy to attempt this. We even had to go buy bigger mixing bowls because we decided to do it all at once. Imagine:

• 11 cups all-purpose flour
• 5 teaspoon baking soda
• 5 teaspoon salt
• 10 sticks butter, softened
• 4 1/4 cups granulated sugar
• 4 1/4 cups packed brown sugar
• 5 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 10 large eggs
• 10 cups NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels

First we tried mixing them with the mixer:
But it ended up being easier (and much more fun!!!!) this way! (Don't worry, my hands were clean... and they smelled like chocolate for the rest of the day!)
Maverick had to get in on the action:
After hours of slaving away over a hot oven, we ended up with this (almost 200 cookies!):
I neatly packaged them up to protect them from breaking during shipment (18 cookies per box!):
I couldn't resist being a little crafty and broke out my stamps, embossing powder, and ribbon to make some cute cards:
Added some packing peanuts (biodegradable, of course):
And away they went!
They all said yes, so I think we were successful! Once again, we proved that the best way to a man's heart is through his stomach... haha.
