I <3 JCrew!

Jacob is in the shower (can't start West Wing without him!), so is there a better time to check out bridesmaid dresses? We've set a "digital sabbatical" (thanks to this article), so no laptops or anything are allowed in bed... haha. It's been really helping so far! I think we forget about how much time we spend on our computers and in front of the TV, and not enough time just talking.

Anyway.... off track again. I knew from the beginning that I wanted to chose the color and fabric of the bridesmaid dresses, and let my maids chose the style. I want them to have something that they actually like, not some lame dress from a bridal store. Speaking of bridal stores, I scoped out Central Coast Wedding Center during my lunch break the other day, and all the dresses are SO ugly and expensive and unoriginal! So that's why I love Jcrew ! They give you so many options, and the dresses super cute and high quality. The regular standard bridesmaid dresses are so expensive and feel so cheap! Such a ripoff. It seems like when you mention wedding, the price automatically triples. You can thank Shauna for the pictures (she bookmarked all the brown jcrew dresses and emailed it to me!).

These are my favorites: First, the Silk Taffeta Dresses. I think the taffeta is the most formal fabric (but maybe hot in July?!)...

Silk Taffeta Loreli Dress
Silk Taffeta Ballerina Dress

Silk Taffeta Felice Dress

I'm also a big fan of the Cotton Cady dresses:

Lydia Dress

Claudine Dress

Janey Dress
I'm a big fan of this one, because she's wearing pink heels! I LOVE that look!

Then's there's the classic chiffon and silk dresses:

Abigail Dress (this looks way cuter on the model)

Juliet Dress

Sophia Dress

Sophia Silk Dress

Thoughts? Ideas? I'm looking for something classy and elegant, but that they can wear again. There's a few other companies that do similar things, like Charsa and Jenny Yoo. So many options!

Brenna liked this option from Charsa (in silk duponi, brown):

Andrea Dress

She also liked these options from Jenny Yoo (imagine in brown again):

Arianna Dress
Audrey Dress
Savannah Dress
Hopefully we'll get to try on some of the dresses this summer- we're planning a San Fran dress shopping trip with all the bridesmaids!
