T MINUS: 13 Days

Today was a wedding BREAK day!! Yippee!! I had a wonderful, relaxing girl's day! I drove down to Northridge, and met Dale at Lauren's (and Matt's!) new apartment. We decided that we should get to hang out, because out significant others are off at Jacob's bachelor party today! It is always wonderful to see those girls, but today was especially great. We had lunch at CPK, and then spent a few hours lounging by the pool. It is so great to have friends who understand what you're going through, as they've just been married also in the past year. I wish they lived closer so we could do it more often!

After that, I headed home and worked on the great Brunch Bakeathon. I screwed up and didn't thaw the phyllo dough ahead of time, so I was just able to make the filling for that dish, and then started on some mushroom mini quiches. The sun pooped me out so I think I'm going to bed early tonight... hopefully Jacob will make it safely to the hotel after the Dodger's game! They have grand plans to go out to the bars after the game (and go-karting, and dinner, and ESPN Zone)... we'll see about that one!! Haha! We also got our schedule for the big day, so I need to work on that tomorrow, along with checking the final few things off our to-do list. We're ALMOST DONE!!
