My Bride Bag.

In case you've been in a box the past few days, or completely ignoring the national news, you might have missed out on something... Santa Barbara is in the middle of a major fire disaster!! It's really stressful, because not only is my house in the evacuation warning zone, but we have lots of friends who have been evacuated, and whose homes have been threatened. Thankfully, KEYT has had around the clock coverage, so I've been glued to the TV, analyzing wind patterns and hoping for the best!

Also, a great distraction arrived in the mail today: the fabric I ordered to finish up the last part of my bridesmaid's gifts. I'm not going to show them, because I know my bridesmaids read this... but I'll show them off after the wedding :). But, I will show off my other sewing project! I had some extra fabric, and I was able to create a "bride bag" to hold my shoes, jewelry, accessories, makeup, and whatever on the day of the wedding! Currently, all of my stuff is in a gift bag left over from my bridal shower... so I think this is much better.
The Whole Bag
The cute iron-on rhinestone label on the pocket
The super cute interior and handle lining fabric

I'll definitely be able to use this as a beach or grocery bag after the weddding. Don't worry, I won't be one of those obsessive women who don't ever want to give up their wedding: the "bride" iron-on is removeable :) I just couldn't resist for just one day.

What do you think? Jacob thinks I should go into business... maybe that's how i should put myself through grad school. :)
