I got there with plenty of time to spare, but ended up having to run to Pottery Barn at 9:50 (40 minutes before they were to arrive) to get napkins!! Oops!!
We had a great time, and they loved their gifts I got them! I'll do a post later after the wedding with all the contents, but they definitely had a great time opening them.
After brunch, we hung around for awhile, worked on the photo board (thank you Meredith and Heather!) and then Mom, Aunt Melissa, Henry and I headed to Costco and bought the rehearsal dinner and brunch food. We had two carts of food! It filled up the whole back of Mom's 4-runner.
Then.. the craziness started. My mom had picked up her dress this morning from Mercedes Trump, the alterations lady, and told her about how my bustle was all messed up, and how I couldn't really breathe in my dress. She insisted I come in so she could take a look at it. We were planning on coming in at 4, but she called me at 3:10 and said, "there's someone here who wants to see you! Can you come early?". She wouldn't tell me who it was, but I rushed over there and walked in... to see Caitlin Simpson!! I couldn't believe it!! She's getting married next weekend, and we got to show off our dresses, and catch up. It was so good to see her!! Anyway, after that, Mercedes fixed my bustle, took off my crinoline & cups, and fixed the bust. It made SUCH a difference!! I feel about 10 degrees cooler without the crinoline, and my chest no longer looks like I have size DD cups. I am going back tomorrow to pick up my dress, and she's going to steam both the dress and veil. THANK YOU!
We finished up our OOT bags, had some yummy dinner, finished up with the lawyer, and had an ice cream date tonight. We also got our final schedule from Mary Anne, and found out our flowers for the rehearsal are delayed in USDA inspections I'm exhausted and ready to go to bed- and it's only 9:15! Ha!
