It all looked so simple to assemble from the directions... and it was, until I spilled plaster of paris EVERYWHERE. Luckily I was on the patio, and it washed right off. But let me tell you... that plaster of paris is messy, and it dries within about 3 minutes. My dad built a box for me out of wood, I covered it with brown silk dupioni I had lying around, and stuck the branches in a piece of foam. It was supposed to be filled to the brim with plaster of paris... but then it was a pain in the rear to deal with, and I spilled half of it on the ground. But, I got enough in there to hold the branches in place! I then glued down some fake moss to cover the plaster, and glued some freeze dried orchids in the branches! (Ignore the back corner... I need to get some more moss.) Super fun and a great distraction from finishing all my final projects... :)

Crafting is Much Better Than Studying
My supplies for my manzanita branch centerpiece for the guestbook/cardbox table arrived today! (Sorry for the bad picture... I'll take a better one tomorrow when I have better lighting)
