Just recieved the 2nd shower invitation- for my side of the family! Meredith did such a cute job- what an adorbale idea! I can't wait!
My shower with all of my wonderful friends is this Saturday. Lana has been working so hard and all I keep hearing from various people is that we're going to have a wonderful time! I am so excited, I just can't wait. It's actually motivated me to be incredibly productive today (finish two projects, cleaned the kitchen, went to class, cleaned my desk, did the laundry AND blogged!) to help the time pass by. Hopefully it won't rain! I can't wait to see what my beautiful bridesmaids have in store!
I've also been getting lots of little projects done- updating/finalizing the guest list for the calligrapher, working on the welcome bag notes, making the reserved seating and bathroom basket signs, and creating a little surprise for my lovely bridesmaids. Oh! Also! The invitations are thisclose to being done! We've been slowly working on them over the past week and I'm happy to say they're about 75% rhinestoned, sorted, stamped and stuffed (in the inner envelopes). I'm off to send the outer envelopes to the calligrapher tomorrow and then we should get those back mid April. Which means we're right on schedule to send them out the first week of May!
Yesterday, I sat down and worked through my calendar for the next 4 months. Can you believe we're approaching the 4 month countdown already!? It is crazy how busy things are about to get- 3 bridal showers (for me) and 1 bridal shower (for Lauren), 1 bachelorette party, Lauren and Matt's wedding, Jacob's concerts, a trip to DC with my momma to visit a couple grad schools (and hopefully make a decision!), spring break, dress fittings, appointments, midterms, projects, finals, packing, trying to find a place to live in Santa Barbara for the summer, moving to Santa Barbara, Jacob's graduation... All of my weekends are practically filled up! And I'm sure that there are things I'm forgetting about right now. I'm feeling thankful that we worked on so many projects when we actually had time, because things are about to get crazy.
A side note: Yesterday, I woke up covered in little spider bites. Gross, right? Well, my dear mom suggested I wash all the sheets and pillows, vaccum, etc to get rid of whatever bugs were hiding and biting. Well, I just opened up the dryer to find:

A bonafide pillow explosion. Apparently throw pillow inserts aren't meant for the dryer.... oops! Maverick sure liked it though... Speaking of the other man in my life, isn't he a total beast? He's HUGE!
