Craft Time!

I made our Thank You notes today! I have been itching to use my gocco for awhile now and finally finished up the design for the notes last night. I heart my gocco so much! It's great because I can do exactly what I want, when I want to do it! It only took me about an hour, which is great! I've also started designing our invitations, but I feel like it's going to take awhile because I honestly have no idea what I want to do! Jacob is no help, all he says is "that's nice!" or "nah, I don't like that one".

I also started on the favors for my bridal shower on Friday. I think it's silly when the hosts of a shower are "supposed" to give favors- they should really be from the guest of honor, thanking the guests for coming! So I told Lana that I would work on them. First, I was going to make jam, but unfortunately there aren't very many good fruits in season in February. So I decided to make teacup candles! I ordered a bunch of antique depression glass teacups off ebay, bought some soy wax and wicks off another site, and got to work! I was worried that it was going to be super complicated, but it was really pretty easy. All you have to do is melt the wax, glue the wick to the bottom of the cup, and then pour the wax and watch the candles cure! I did about 25 in under an hour- super easy and so fun!

Shauna also found her dress the other day- so now it's 3 down, 2 to go! I hope that we can place the order within the next couple of weeks.
She chose this yellow one, except it will 1) have a sash and 2) obviously be in dark brown! She's so cute!

Also- a big post to come next week- our Save the Dates! They're all sealed up and waiting for stamps (that should come in the mail tomorrow)!

I have pictures but I haven't loaded them onto the computer yet, so I'll add them later today.
