The Racha is located of the coast of Phuket, about a 45 minute speedboat ride from the harbor. The Racha is a member of the "Small Luxury Hotels of the World", and is highly rated on Tripadvisor.com and by Conde Naste Traveller! We booked a "Grand Deluxe Pool", a absolutely amazing room with a private terrace, outdoor rain shower, breathtaking views of the ocean and our own private pool! The resort also features a full spa, private beach, several yummy restaurants, and lots of activities, including snorkeling, diving, tennis, mountain biking, hiking, kayaking and yoga. They also provide bicycles that you can rent, and ride around the island (apparently it only takes about 10 minutes!).
Racha Island is considered one of the world's best snorkeling and diving areas, so we'll be sure to take full advantage of that! Our package also includes private limosine transfer to the harbor, and roundtrip speedboat trip to the Island! We can also take the boat to Phuket for a day trip, if we get bored of the beautiful beaches.(P.S... not to scare anyone... but the news is on and there were just two earthquakes in Japan and Indonesia... I hope there are no tsunamis!!!!! AHH!!!)
The flight is kinda long but we just couldn't resist. At least we'll have a stop in Soeul. We visited with some travel agents today and found out that they know absolutely nothing, so we decided to take the plunge and book the resort we liked the best.
